Enjoying her birthday gifts!
We have had an awesome week so far! It's amazing how new toys/ activities can re-engage your toddler and make for an exceptional week! Add in multiple play dates and these past few days have been filled with awesome naps, minimal breakdowns, happy babies, and a super happy momma!
Weeks like this are good for my mom soul - makes me feel like I just might be doing something right!
Kate was blessed with so many wonderful things for her birthday and has loved each and every item she received! We have read her new books more times than I can count! Katie, a friend of ours, picked out several awesome books including Madeline which was a childhood favorite of mine! Kate also got this neat, help you read Leap Frog toy and is enjoying the books she has for it!
Caleb, our BMT buddy who lives in Wisconsin was here for Kate's party (and his one year post transplant testing) and recorded a Cinderella book for Kate. It is one of the sweetest gifts!
We've had picnic parties with a new picnic set, tea parties, played with her new baby and baby accessories, worn new clothes, raced on her new pillow racer! It's just been so fun!
We have literally played/ used every single new item she received!
I pulled out my camera Monday while Kate was playing with her Little People Princess Castle from Lala (my sister). Watching her imagination grow as she plays with this castle is unreal! She officially knows all of the princesses names and will tell you who is dancing, who is sleeping, who is walking through the door! It is seriously adorable and makes me even more excited for our big Disney trip in October.
After a solid 20 minutes with the castle, she moved on to her new lap desk and crayons from her BFF Colt. I am certain I hear " TayTay draw piture" a hundred times a day! I think we may have a leftie on our hands which will make her PaPaw proud!
Will loves watching Kate play! He laughs, coos, and "talks" to her non-stop while she is busy playing!
Multiple times a day I look at my sweet babies and thank God that I was chosen to be their mom. I am so amazed at the blessings He has given me.
Party recap to come - I promise! But right now I am living in the moment and enjoying this spectacular week we are having!

Such precious babies, Lindsey!
You're babies are so beautiful! I'm a long time reader but first time commenter. I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy reading your blog. You have been on such a journey already with your children, I really admire how hard you fight for them - you're a great mom. Your family has been in my prayers and will continue to be. Enjoy this time with your beautiful family!
Beautiful babies!!!
Lindsey can you share more about the lap desk? I've never seen anything like that around, and I'm interested in them for my 20 month old twin girls. Thanks!
I just love these photos of Kate. Knowing the difference in her from now and this time last year is heart-warming and a reassurance of faith and miracles each and every time I read your posts.
I'm so glad y'all have had a great week! Kate looks so happy in these pictures! Can I tell you one of the first things I noticed? She isn't wearing a smocked dress!!! :) haha! You have some beautiful babies!
She looks so beauitful and grown up. I love the photo with her tongue out - her concentration is evident. Now, send me the list of your top faves so I know what do about E's upcoming bday. ;)
They both have the best eyes! They're simply adorable.
Her eyes? So pretty! And I can't believe how fast Will is growing. Our babies need to slow down. So glad it's been a good week for you. The lap desk is such a great gift idea.
I can't believe Kate's hair. She is gorgeous. Will is equally as much of a beautiful baby as her. :) Hope life is treating you well.
I love these pictures of Kate! And I think this is one of the first times I haven't seen her in smocking! She is rocking that polo ;)
I want to get E that Princess castle for Christmas. She will love that!
