Goodbye Dry Hair!

I feel like I am a broken record when it comes to talking about the state of my post-baby skin, hair, body, etc. Will's pregnancy really did a number on it all! He is so very worth it but man, I'm pretty much a hot mess!

I am currently in the "I really need a hair cut but am shedding like crazy thanks to postpartum hormones and don't want to cut off all of my hair in case a large percentage of it falls out" stage of just having had a baby.  Add in the summer heat and humidity and I was not a fan of the frizz ball that was affixed to my head.

My ends are, well I guess I should say were, dry and damaged. I've tried so many different products since giving birth - cheapies from Target, expensive salon products, middle of the road products.  Nothing seemed to help my hair.

I've always been a huge fan of Dove products and was excited when Dove and BlogHer approached me about a review of the all new Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair conditioner.

I started using the product as soon as it arrived in my mail box. If I'm being totally honest, it usually takes me a day or so to open boxes, move product to the bathroom, remember to try them out, etc. But, literally, the second this conditioner hit my doorstep it was in my shower waiting to be used.

This new Dove conditioner has a patented technology to help repair damaged hair. Fiber activated technology penetrates deep inside the hair strand, helping rebind damaged proteins while the patented micromoisture serum targets damage, repairing the surface of hair by sealing lifted cuticles.

The first thing I noticed when using the Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair conditioner was that it was thick and creamy. I absolutely hate conditioners that don't "stay put" when I use them.  This may be TMI but I am a creature of habit and always put conditioner in my hair and let it sit while I shave my legs. Always.  There is nothing more annoying than having conditioner run out of my hair while I shave. There is zero point to letting conditioner sit in your hair if it just slips right out.

I was so glad to not have this problem at all. The Dove conditioner stayed put which allowed it to work its magic and repair my hair!

Within a 1-2 days I honestly noticed a major difference in my hair. My ends are still damaged (nothing but a good cut will completely fix that) but they are so much better than they were. My hair is also soft and sleek!  I've also noticed that my hair is much shinier and my frizz seems to be less!

I would highly recommend this condition to anyone! Dove has four new conditioners in this line and I highly encourage all of you to visit the Dove Hair website so you can select the best product for your hair!
